The Humana Inc. reveals its Medicare advantage plans prior to the enrollment period that was scheduled to start from October 15th and end on December 7th. The company that to date is categorized as the most experienced one when it comes to Medicare plans, once again provides its members with the famous Humana Walmart-Preferred Rx Plan (PDP) with the lowest premiums beating those that any other plan from any other company has to offer.

Humana, having 4.3 million members to itself, provides its members with a comprehensive list of plans including its prescription drug plans and Medicare medical advantage plans well before the enrollment period starts so that the members can reenroll themselves in the plans they like, make a few changes in their existing plans or choose a totally new plan to become effective on January 1, 2012.

Tom Liston, who holds the position of Humana’s leader explain how Humana helps its members achieve good value for their medical money and how are their plans extremely cost effective. He said, “We understand that many seniors and people with disabilities live on fixed incomes. They need health coverage that helps them afford their health care, so they can spend more time with friends and family, live healthier lives and pursue lifelong well-being.”

With Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans, the members have a lot to gain as along with copayments making it easy to predict the costs, prescription drug coverage is also given which eliminates the need for a separate drug plan. With the Prescription drug plans, Humana plays on its Unique Selling Point which is the extremely low premium of this plan.

The concern for the well being of its members is the reason Humana publishes thrice a year the Humana Active Outlook magazine that has won awards and is filled with health information customized to the senior members of Humana.
